Managed care
By quotation
Care at an agreed place, for an agreed period, with clear responsibilities.

Managed care and transport are quoted, never listed.We look at the tree first — its size, its health and how it would travel — and agree the price with you in writing before anything is collected. Pot upgrades, replacement trees, transport and nursery time are charged separately and are not included unless we have agreed them with you. We do not offer unlimited replacements or care for the rest of a tree’s life, because neither would be honest.

We agree the practical details first: the tree, its condition, its journey and the care it will need. Then, and only then, does it travel.

Does £39 include a new pot every year?
No. DeathTree Care is a care pack, seasonal guidance and a quick route to a real answer by email. A larger pot or a planting kit is a separate purchase, and we only suggest one when the tree actually needs it.
Can I add care later, or stop it?
Yes to both. Add it when you choose your tree, or ask us to add it later. It renews once a year until you stop it, from your account or by asking us, and the year you have already paid for still runs to its end. Stopping it never removes your certificate or your tree record.
Does my tree record disappear if I do not subscribe?
No. The tree identity, the certificate and the record of updates come with the tree itself and stay whether or not you take a care plan. You can export everything we hold about your tree, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
Can every tree be returned to you by post?
No, and please do not send one before we have agreed it. A planted tree, a large specimen or a tree with a health problem may need a different answer — sometimes the honest answer is that it should stay where it is. An assessment and a written agreement come before any collection, carriage or nursery intake.
Is this a guarantee that my tree will survive?
No. A tree is a living thing and nobody can promise a living thing will thrive. If yours arrives damaged or in poor condition, send us a photograph straight away and we will put it right. You also keep your 14-day right to cancel from the day it arrives. A tree is a living thing. Does my tree offset my carbon footprint?
Carbon: not measured. We have not measured how much carbon a young tree in a pot takes up, so we do not publish a figure and we do not sell your tree as an offset. It would depend on the species, the soil, the weather and how long the tree lives, and none of that can be honestly promised from here. Choose the tree because you want the tree.
