Your young tree
A sapling in its starting pot, with a guide to its first year.

Illustrative blossom colour and mature form. The selected cultivar may differ. Your tree begins as a sapling.
A tree for someone who wants remembrance to feel like a celebration. A flowering cherry makes the changing seasons part of the story, with a blossom display to look forward to.
This is the flowering alternative in the collection, not a promise of the same longevity as an oak. The exact cultivar, eventual size and growing needs are agreed with the grower before dispatch.
Your tree is a living thing, not a lifetime guarantee. The right site, ongoing care and room to grow matter far more than anything printed on a tag.
We are not citing a species guide here, because the ornamental cultivar is not yet confirmed. The exact variety, its eventual size and its growing needs are agreed with the grower before dispatch, and we will tell you which one you are getting.
A sapling in its starting pot, with a guide to its first year.
A numbered tree tag, a name you choose and a story that starts with you.
A digital record to keep, personalise and print for yourself or as a gift.
Photos, growing milestones, location notes and your private wishes.
The tree record is the same either way. Heritage begins with a larger, further-established tree and puts your certificate on paper as well as on screen.
The straightforward beginning: a young tree of this species, and the record that goes with it.
A stronger start for the tree, and something physical to keep or hand over.
For the years after the parcel arrives. Add it when you order, or leave it out — the tree and its record work perfectly well without it.
What Care is not.It is not insurance, a survival guarantee or a gardening visit. It is billed yearly and you can cancel it at any time. Replacement trees, pot upgrades and Return to Care are quoted separately, and Care never contacts anyone else on your behalf.
Different cherry varieties offer different wildlife benefits. We confirm the specific cultivar before making pollinator or habitat claims.
We would rather show you an honest record than a carbon counter we cannot stand behind. No fixed CO₂ figure is assigned to your tree, and your tree is not sold as a carbon offset.
A credible estimate needs an accepted method, real measurements of this tree and clearly stated assumptions. We have none of those for a young tree in your garden, so no kilograms or tonnes are printed here.
Grow it at home. Add a photograph each year. And when circumstances change, choose the next step rather than losing the story.
Choose an outdoor spot, learn its needs and keep a record of how it grows.
Save the planting date, the location, whose land it is and how to reach it, so someone else can find it later.
Return to Care starts with a suitability check and an agreed quote, never an unplanned parcel.
Start with the practical details. The meaningful part grows from there.
Small. This is a young tree, not a mature specimen, and its height at dispatch depends on the season and the stock the grower has ready. We confirm the size with you before it leaves. The Heritage package starts with a larger, further-established tree.
Eventual height and lifespan depend on the cultivar, which is why we confirm the variety with the grower before dispatch instead of printing a figure here. We do not guarantee that any individual tree will outlive its owner.
No. A container is a starting point, not a permanent home for a full-sized tree. Repotting, root pruning and eventually planting out all need planning, which is exactly what the care guidance and your tree record are for.
Yes, and for most people that is the plan. Make sure you own the land or have the owner’s written permission, check for drains, cables and pipes before you dig, and keep a full-sized tree well away from buildings and boundaries. Record the spot in your tree record so it can be found again.
Tell us what happened. The original chapter stays in the record and a replacement can be added as a new chapter, so the story is not erased. A replacement is quoted separately — this is not unlimited cover. If a tree arrives in poor condition, contact us straight away and we will put it right; your statutory rights are unaffected.
We do not offer that as a service. Scattering or burying ashes needs the landowner’s permission and proper guidance, and ashes can harm a young tree if they are placed badly. Your record can set out what you would like and where the tree is, so whoever arranges it later can seek the right advice. It is not a prepaid funeral or a will.
